Comédie-Française registers : photostatic reproductions, 1664-1673.

Consists of photostatic reproductions of two registers of activities from the archives of the Comédie-Française: Registre de la recette année 1664 à 1665, known as "le second registre de La Thorillière; " and Le registre d'Hubert (29 Apr. 1672-21 Mar. 1673). Both record details of performances, including many of the plays of Molière. They were made for Professor William Leonard Schwartz of Stanford. Laid in is an offprint of an article by Professor Schwartz "Molière's theater in 1672-1673" (PMLA LVI:2 (June 1941): 395-427) based on the second register. A typed page laid in the offprint describes the two registers and announces a second article by Schwartz based on the first register.
